Jennifer Vonschondorf, MA, LMHC, CECP, CBCP, RYT-200
WA Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Emotion Code and Body Code Practitioner
Jennifer earned her MA in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University, an integrative program that utilizes a holistic approach to health and well-being. Jen utilizes a holistic and integrative perspective with a focus on client-centered therapy. This entails working from a wide array of techniques to focus on each individual’s needs and wants. Jen incorporates a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to meet her client’s needs. Some healing modalities that Jen gravitates towards are yoga and mindfulness techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Applied Relaxation Techniques and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Jen also loves to include body movement and somatic practices, nature and art therapies as well as energetic healing practices. Jen has experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings with individuals, couples, families and groups.

Jen is committed to helping her clients achieve their treatment goals and improving their overall mental health and emotional wellness. She enjoys helping her clients become empowered and providing support and guidance. Ultimately, helping clients learn how to navigate through the challenges in life. Together, she will work with clients to leave behind the struggles they face today and equip them with the tools to move onward to a future of happiness and success.

Jen’s interest in working with people began when she was a young adolescent, after gaining an awareness of her grandmother’s struggles with mental health. When Jen graduated high school, she moved to South Carolina where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at Coastal Carolina University. While attending school, Jen’s curiosity and passion for health and wellness expanded. Jen became certified as a Yoga instructor, where she also took workshops on holistic health and natural medicines. It was around this time that Jen had started to experience chronic health issues and realized the importance of figuring out the root cause and healing the whole person; rather than working to alleviate symptoms. Post graduation, Jen moved to the Pacific Northwest where she continued her education at Bastyr University, receiving her Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology and diving deeper in holistic health and medicine making.
Shortly after, Jen became certified as an Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, which allows her to bring in more integrative practices and nutritional wellness into her practice. Since completing her degree, Jen’s taken time to focus on her own healing journey where she became introduced to muscle testing; a form of biofeedback that allows us to communicate with our bodies. After seeing how integral muscle testing had been to her own healing, Jen wanted to find a way to incorporate it into her practice, finding the Emotion Code certification through Discover Healing. The Emotion Code is a form of muscle testing that works specifically to target emotions. Jen aligns with the notion that tapping into our intuition can be one of the most helpful resources of healing, and it shows in the way Jen has curated her practice.
